The Islamic Group (Arabic: Jamaah Islamiyah‎) is a Sunni Islamist group or gathering in Lebanon. Jamaa Islamiya was founded in 1952 as the Lebanese branch of the Muslim Brotherhood. Its leader is Faisal Mawlawi. The party has a military wing known as the al-Fajr Forces. Lately, it entered the Lebanese general election, 2009 beside Future Movement in Beirut 3 district. Currently they have 1 seat in the Lebanese Parliament
